Submission Alley promotes local amateur Mixed Martial Arts competitions where fighters who have cross trained in various martial arts styles, put their skills to the test in a cage. Fighters use a variety of techniques including punches, kicks, knees, elbows, grappling, throws, holds, locks, and submissions to overcome their opponent. Today Submission Alley promotes amateur fighters in the local Omaha/Council Bluffs circuit. Promoting amateur MMA tournaments to give mixed martial artist local and national recognition to compete on the national level.
Jake Delagarza and Reggie Fitton created Submission Alley to forge relationships with amateur mixed martial artists to develop their skills in live mixed martial arts events. January 9th 2009 marked the debut of Submission Alley's first mixed martial arts amateur fight event at Chez Pereez in Council Bluffs, IA. Though held during a sudden snow storm the event was a success. Submission Alley provides MMA shows in the local Omaha/Council Bluffs area for MMA fight fans.
WHAT is MIXED MARTIAL ARTS?
Mixed Martial Arts is a combat sport allowing skilled fighters who may have a background in Karate, Muy-Tai, Kickboxing, Boxing, Kung-Fu, Wrestling, Judo or Jiu-Jitsu but have cross trained in other styles to make their fighting style complete and effective in full contact competition. Fighters use a variety of techniques including punches, kicks, knees, elbows, grappling, throws, holds, locks, ground-fighting and submission techniques.
